Cold brewed ice coffee is must-have in your fridge during hot summer days and very simple to make at home.

Ingredients
  • For 6 cups of cold brewed coffee you'll need:
  • 250g or 9 oz finely ground coffee
  • 2 L or 8 cups filtered water
  • 12-24 hours
Instructions
  1. Put ground coffee in a big bowl and add water, mix well. Cover the bowl with foil or your whole flat/house is going to smell like coffee (which is wonderful but would drive any coffee lover insane...) and let stand for at least a night or even a whole day to get a stronger brew.
  2. Filter your coffee over a double cheesecloth, or if you don't have any, use any clean textile that is woven tightly enough. Nothing fancy, I used a brand new textile tissue that I washed and ironed previously.
  3. I didn't want to lose even one drop so when I got to the solids at the bottom I squeezed it with my hands, lol!
Notes
Yes, you really need filtered water to do this (or any other tea or coffee). Feel free to play around with different kinds of coffee. Mostly, I use my favorite everyday arabica for this.
